    Festive fun in EYFS

    The children in Nursery and Reception have enjoyed lots of special Christmas activities. They wore some super Christmas jumpers, looked very cosy on our Polar Express Day and even had a wonderful Christmas party, with a special visitor!

    The Three Little Pigs

    Reception designed and made some fantastic houses for the Three Little Pigs! They also enjoyed using the repeated refrain “I’ll huff and I’ll and puff and I’ll blow your house down!” when using the puppets to retell the story.

    Happy Diwali

    Reception had a wonderful timing about Diwali, the festival of lights. They read and retold the story of Rama and Sita, decorated our classroom with Rangoli patterns and made our own Diya lamps.

    Children in Need

    Reception loved wearing spots and bright colours for Children in Need. We talked about why it was important and what Pudsey bear does. We then enjoyed working together to colour in a big Pudsey bear!

    Super Veggies Assemble

    Reception have enjoyed learning about harvest. They particularly loved reading the Supertato stories, making super veggies and creating the Evil Pea using play dough!

    EYFS Bonfire Party

    The children in Nursery and Reception thoroughly enjoyed their bonfire party yesterday. They had some tasty hot chocolate, hot dogs and even some edible chocolate sparklers!

    Reception had a fantastic time at the EYFS multi-skills festival at Gateshead Stadium. They took part in a range of fun activities and were excellent representatives of our school. Well done Reception – what a super first visit out of school!
