Exploring the source of the River Tyne in Kielder
Year 5 have had a fantastic day up at Kielder exploring where the source of the River Tyne is. They drew sketch maps of what they could see as well as looking at the land use and counting the number of cars to allow us to compare this with our visits to Corbridge and Tynemouth.
We then headed to Kielder castle for lunch and even got the chance to see the osprey nests via a live video field! Before we left we headed to the Minotaur maze which the children completed in record time!
