Year 5 Tynemouth and Corbridge visits to the River Tyne
Year 5 visited the mouth of the River Tyne at Tynemouth this week. We did sketch maps of what we could see and discussed the land use around the mouth of the river.
Year 5 have shown some great cricket skills in our first two sessions of quick cricket. They will be developing their skills further over the next few weeks.

Year 5 have been busy taking part in a World Book Day treasure hunt this afternoon in which they had to solve clues to find letters and then unscramble to make up a phrase. They had great fun and all succeeded!

Year 5 had a fantastic day in York yesterday learning all about the Vikings. They spent the morning at the Jorvik centre exploring a replica of a Viking town below the streets of York which was extremely authentic down to the smell!
