School council meet every fortnight.
We are working together to decide what improvements we think are needed in our school.
Class representatives give the children a voice, so that any ideas or opinions can be heard and discussed.
School council are also very active in taking part in charity events to support our chosen charities which are MacMillan Cancer Care and Just a Drop.
Later in the year we will be holding events to raise awareness and money of these charities.
Our Shadow Deputy Head and Head Boy and Girl also attend our meetings.
Reception wanted to run a mile for their sponsored event to raise money for Clic Sargent. Some of the children enjoyed it so much they ran two miles.
On Wednesday, Dee from CLIC Sargent came to explain to us about the work which the charity does. This is the charity which we are going to raise money for this year, as they have supported a family in our school.
This year we decided to do a reverse advent calendar, where rather than the children receiving something they donated something. We have been overwhelmed with all of the very kind donations. These donations were shared between the Salvation Army, Trinity Methodist...
Our local MP, Mr Dave Anderson, came into our school to answer questions and talk to the children about what his job involves.
