High Ropes

Year 5 and 6 had great fun overcoming their fears on the high ropes course. It was great to see the children showing determination and encouraging each other to complete the course. 

Annual Christmas carol service.

Thank you to all of those who joined us for our Christmas carol service at St Cuthberts church. The children really enjoyed singing some traditional carols as well as a few songs from their nativities.

Year 6 visit their reception buddies!

This morning year 6 have been to visit their reception buddies. They have been busy helping them in all the different areas and have made some Christmas decorations together!

Macbeth freeze frames!

In year 6 we have been reading the Shakespeare play Macbeth. Today we worked in groups to create freeze frames from different scenes in the play. Can you work out which ones we are acting out?

BBC live lesson!

This afternoon we took part in the BBC LIve lesson about Remembrance. We created our own haiku poems of remembrance during it. They even mentioned Blaydon West and the pebbles that we have all decorated and left around the area for others to find.

NUFC : Onside.

This week we began Onside with NUFC. We began by setting rules for our sessions which link to respect. We then looked at British values and what they are.

First hockey coaching session.

This week we began our hockey sessions with our Grassroots coach. First we warmed up to make sure we were ready for our session. We then practised some basic skills with the hockey sticks to get us started.
