Early Years have had lots of fun this morning playing in the sun. We talked about how to stay safe in the sun and where the shade and drinks station was before we went out. Splashing in the water to cool down.
All of the children made a great effort to dress up as their favourite book characters for world book day.
Nursery have loved doing little movers each week with coach Anna. They have had to be really good listeners and follow directions to play team games, do fitness exercises, be superheroes and learn dances. We definitely have some fabulous movers.
Nursery received a package this morning from princess Elsa. She needed our help, she accidentally froze her sister and friends and needed our help to free them. We thought about what we could do to melt the ice and used different tools to try to set them free.
Thank you to all of those who joined us for our Christmas carol service at St Cuthberts church. The children really enjoyed singing some traditional carols as well as a few songs from their nativities.
The whole school has thoroughly enjoyed the Sleeping Beauty panto this morning while wearing their Christmas jumpers!
Santa needed our help! Some of his elves were poorly so he sent us some jobs to do at elf school to see if we could become an elf. We wrapped some presents, designed elf clothes, did some elf counting, made candy cane marshmallows and elf hats. In pe we had to deliver...
Nursery have been practicing and working very hard to learn the songs and words for the Christmas performance and it was a great success. I am very proud of them all for putting on a successful performance for the grown ups.
We were so pleased the rain stayed away, we had a lovely time at gibside helping Mrs Claus find the reindeer bags. At the end of our Christmas trail we toasted some marshmallows on the fire.
