Recently, Year 2 had the fantastic opportunity of visiting Beamish Museum. They visited Pockerley Manor and learned all about what life was like during the 1820s. They even worked with staff to train to be nurses so that they could go and help Florence Nigthingale during the Crimean war. They learned lots of important skills including: how to treat injured soldiers, how to make ginger biscuits, how clean and how to fold clothes and bed sheets. The children were beautifully behaved and fun was had by all!
