Today Year One have been learning how to share evenly. First we talked about what we think sharing evenly means and we all agreed that it is when you try to make sure people have the same amount as each other. We then explored sharing different amounts of counters between ourselves and a friend. When doing so, we had to record our results in a table.
We also discovered that all of the numbers that we say when we count in twos can be shared evenly or halved which helped us to sort a variety of numbers in to odd and even categories based on our findings.
