Today Year One experienced a fun filled day out at Kirkley Hall – there was so much to see and do. They met all types of animals at the Northumberland based zoo including Wallabies, Lemurs, Monkeys and Meerkats. They even had the chance to handle some rabbits and guinea pigs!
As well exploring the zoo’s amazing animal collection, the children also had the opportunity to go on a lovely woodland walk where they were able to experience the wildlife situated beside the nearby River Blyth.
Before returning to school, the children also visited the ground’s sheds to learn all about the life cycle of a sheep – some of the little lambs were not even 24 hours old!
