Following the children’s exploration of Blaydon to identify its key human and physical features, the children then worked in their groups to create fact posters to present their findings.
When doing so, the children created labels and captions, as well as drawing their own diagrams to accompany the photographs that they had taken when exploring their locality. They even included sentences that they had typed up on the computers!
Once they had completed them they then presented their posters to the rest of the class. Each group made sure that every member shared something interesting from their information text with the rest of the class. Some of us even asked questions!
