It was Year 4’s class assembly this week and we decided to take the rest of the school and parents ‘way back in time’ to Ancient Egypt. We had great fun dressing up as Pyramid Builders, Pharaohs and King Tutankhamun and his servants. After giving a taste of Egyptian life, we re-enacted the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. Then after scaring everyone with the curse of Tut’s tomb, we finished on a cheery note with the song ‘Hootin’ Rootin’ Tootin’ Tutankhamun’! Year 3 say they now can’t wait to learn about the Egyptians next year – praise indeed. A massive well done to all the children and thankyou to parents for their support.
